Mycoprotein 70%

Mycoprotein 70% is a highly active single-cell fungal protein produced by drying the fermentation by-products of MSG production. With a crude protein content of ≥70%, it is rich in free amino acids, small-molecule peptides, B vitamins, beta-glucans, and bioactive substances that support probiotics. It serves as a cost-effective protein alternative to soybean meal and fish meal, offering multiple benefits: nutritional value, growth promotion, intestinal health support, and cost reduction.

Detailed description

Product Details

1. Ultra-high protein content combined with a balanced, complete amino acid profile; nutritional density far exceeds that of standard plant proteins.

Crude protein ≥70% (minimum); total amino acid content ≥45%. It provides a complete spectrum of amino acids—including lysine, methionine, and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs)—compensating for the amino acid deficiencies found in soybean meal and corn. This allows animal growth requirements to be met without the need for large amounts of supplemental synthetic amino acids.

The protein consists primarily of small-molecule peptides and free amino acids, resulting in a digestion and absorption rate of ≥84%—significantly higher than that of standard soybean meal (approx. 75%). Animals can absorb these nutrients directly without complex breakdown processes, thereby reducing nutrient waste and fecal nitrogen emissions, which supports environmental protection and pollution reduction.

Low crude fiber (≤3%) and ash (≤10%) content; minimal impurities allow for greater formulation flexibility without displacing the feed's energy balance.

2. Natural palatability enhancement to boost feed intake.

Rich in glutamic acid (a source of umami flavor) and possessing a natural fermented aroma, it acts as a potent attractant for pigs, poultry, fish, and shrimp. It is particularly effective for young animals with weaker appetites—such as aquatic species, weaned piglets, and chicks—significantly increasing average daily feed intake and alleviating stress-induced anorexia.

3. Inherent probiotic activity to support gut health and reduce diarrhea and mortality.

Fungal cell walls contain natural prebiotics such as β-glucan, chitin, and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS);

Retains beneficial live fermentation bacteria that regulate gut microbiota:

Promotes the proliferation of beneficial bacteria (e.g., *Lactobacillus*, *Bifidobacterium*) while inhibiting harmful bacteria (e.g., *E. coli*, *Salmonella*);

Repairs intestinal villi, increases villus height, and expands the intestinal absorptive surface area;

Trial data: Replacing 20% of soybean meal with this product in weaned piglet diets reduced the incidence of diarrhea by 18% and significantly lowered the rates of enteritis and gill rot in young poultry and aquatic species, thereby reducing the need for antibiotics.

Summary

70% Mycoprotein is far more than just a high-protein ingredient; it is a multifunctional, fermented protein source that combines nutrition, growth promotion, gut health support, and immune enhancement. It offers a cost-effective alternative to expensive soybean meal and fishmeal, boosting weight gain and feed efficiency while simultaneously protecting animal gut health and reducing disease-related mortality and culling. Suitable for all stages of production—from early growth to finishing—across livestock, poultry, and aquaculture, it serves as a core protein ingredient for achieving cost reductions and efficiency gains in large-scale operations.
